But… What does it mean to build a new house and to deal with the interior design project?

Is it right to ask ourselves the question before starting to build or can we postpone the reasoning? In the case of the construction of new houses, we are in front of a blank canvas ready to be painted. We already know – also foreseen by the regulatory plan – the characteristics of the surface, of the environmental constraints, of the volumes of the new house; to this we must give a design and an adequate aesthetic look so that the project can be carried out properly.

Everything that happens inside is always postponed until the house is almost finished, people wait to see it in the advanced raw to start thinking about how the interiors will be. Instead, it’s a good habit to think about the internal project and then symbolically put the armor around it. This allows a whole series of reflections, thoughts, comparisons that add a very important value to the complete “home” project. Having clear ideas immediately gives a completely different vision of the entire house and a more decisive approach to the choices to be made, but above all it allows to create a well-designed living environment, where the furnishings enter their dedicated spaces. I believe it is crucial for the successful completion of the project to immediately compare the architectural design of the house with the interior design project; on paper especially in the floor plan it is almost immediately possible to understand and study the placement of furniture and / or furnishings. In this way, it is still possible to enlarge the spaces or change the position of an internal wall, create niches, invert the destination of the environment, all to make the furnishings fit perfectly. Given that an important investment is being made, almost always for life, I consider it proper and decisive to study the architectural structure of the house, based on an interior design project already outlined in the mind of the customer. Very often this also saves on the final expenditure, especially to those who intend to rely on companies that produce serial furniture, where the measurements are standard and require a specific project where to place the furniture.

The kitchen and the bathroom

The kitchen environment represents the most important variant where especially Italians like to see it inserted perfectly from wall to wall, without the aid of outsizes that moreover entail additional costs. For those who instead approach a custom project, where investment is undoubtedly more expensive, it is important to immediately relate to the professional who will then follow the interiors, the one that, thanks to his ability and professionalism, is able to create dedicated solutions. All this to convey then, during the construction phase of the house, in the design of both hydraulic and electrical systems; knowing where the furniture will be placed allows you to realize all the installations of the house, to know where to put the sockets, the drains, the TV attacks and all that optimizes the project and saves time. There are two environments that require more attention, the kitchen and the bathroom. They are the environments where one is constrained by the position of the drains, h2o and drain connections, gas connections. A kitchen and bathroom project studied in detail gives the possibility of going to realize the plant construction and to place it in the right way, and when the home is finished, it allows the easy insertion of the chosen furniture. On the contrary, when a house is already built the project must adapt itself to the existing one and the choices for a personalized furniture decrease a lot, often increasing the costs and the unexpected. Think about the inclusion in a kitchen of important materials such as quartz, marble, ceramic worktops, suction hoods no longer in the wall units but directly inserted into the worktop or in the hob … But think even about the refrigerators that generate ice and distribute water, that are connected to the water supply, have special sinks, a series of sockets distributed no more wall-mounted but housed on recessed columns positioned in the support surface, the use of semi-industrial household appliances, the insertion of equipped back sections in the work plan as dish drainer, cup-holder and accessory holder. All this involves the detailed study of the project even before putting the first brick. Therefore, a nice interior design project to support everything, allows to create well-designed and ergonomic living spaces, but above all adapted to your needs.
