Coffee, lemon, oil, vinegar: no liquid nor food is absorbed therefore the probability of developing noxious bacteria is almost zero. OKITE\u00ae is certified as a safe and hygienic product as it does not request any additional chemical protection.&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h4><strong>WHAT DOES RUIN THE OKITE\u00ae SURFACE AND WHAT CAN BE USED TO CLEAN IT.<\/strong><\/h4><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Although OKITE\u00ae can stand high temperatures for short periods of time, its performance might vary depending on a number of factors such as thickness, color, position etc. It is therefore not advisable to leave the product in contact with a heat source for a long period of time. It is equally not advisable to place hot pots, pans, fryers etc. on it. Therefore, in these situations the use of pot mats is recommended.&#13;\nThe OKITE\u00ae top well stands scratches and abrasions caused by kitchen utensils yet to ensure a longer duration of the original aspect of the top, we advise You to always use chopping boards.&#13;\nThe products to be avoided in order not to ruin the beauty of the OKITE\u00ae tops are: bleach; alkaline products; polish solvents; hydrofluoric acid; dichloromethane; caustic soda; In case there are accidental spills on the surface, it is sufficient to dry the liquid with the kitchen roll and proceed with the regular cleaning with a cloth soaked with hot water and a liquid cleanser.&#13;\nOKITE\u00aes a very limited maintenance. Generally speaking, to clean OKITE\u00ae you only need to use a humid cloth. In case the surface is dirty, the usual daily cleaning products such as Marseilles soap are efficient.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h4><strong>SPECIFIC TREATMENTS FOR OKITE\u00ae TOP SURFACES<\/strong>.<\/h4><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In case of encrustations, sticky substances like chewing-gum, foods like mustard or curry and any other greasy or oily spots or water-base varnishes, delicately scrape the remain with a not sharp plastic spatula.&#13;\nClean the OKITE\u00ae top with a non abrasive sponge and the new SMAC Superfici Moderne or with a kitchen cleanser, like Marseilles soap. Rinse with hot water and dry the surface with a clean cloth.&#13;\nRepeat if needed.&#13;\nSome of the colors of the Aida, Leonardo and\/or Texture are sensitive to prints and oil spots and therefore a more accurate routine cleaning might be requested.&#13;\nFor the daily regular cleaning, clean only with hot water and dry with a clean cloth.&#13;\nFor grease or oil spots, use SMAC or a degreased product and leave it for 30 seconds. Rinse and dry with a clean cloth.&#13;\nFor obstinate encrustations and spots, use a non-abrasive cream detergent with a humid sponge. Execute circular movements and clean the entire surface. Rinse with hot water and dry the surface with a clean cloth at the end.&#13;\nFor any other spot that seems hard to remove with the ordinary cleaning, use the yellow part of a humid sponge &#8211; like Scotch-Brite\u00ae &#8211; and some detergent.
